Yoga is an ancient healing science, more than 2000 years old, that comes from India. Yoga means union of the body and the mind. Ancient masters like Patanjali have made mankind aware of the fact that yoga is a science which is practical and usable with garanteed scope of growth at all levels of human-existance, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
In the west most people engage in Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures) designed to align the muscles and bones. Hatha Yoga is a path toward creating balance. In our physical body we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to explore a balance between effort and release in our internal attitude. The art of Yoga is in finding the relaxation within the action. |
Hatha Yoga is a powerful tool for self transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind (quieten the inner chatter of the mind) allowing us to be more present for our lives. Yoga is a physical science that keeps us in shape giving us good health, physical well-being and freedom from disease.

Yoga is a mental science that helps to understand the workings of the mind, resulting in reduced stress levels, mental stability and peace of mind, empowering one to reach his/her unique potential. Why not be your own experiment?
